Armtec has been selected to receive two awards from The Canadian Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (CPCI) in their Beauty of Architectural Precast Concrete Contest.
The contest, launched in January 2016, and is aimed at highlighting the endless possibilities that can be achieved with the use of architectural precast concrete and to demonstrate the many ways architectural precast concrete can creatively be used by architects, designers and engineers to create beautiful, functional and resilient structures.
Contest Entries were encouraged to showcase the versatility and beauty of architectural precast concrete, and demonstrate the artistic flexibility of precast concrete.
After careful review and consideration, the jury selected 12 winning projects. Of the Winners, were two Armtec Vancouver, BC projects:
Surrey City Hall and Plaza in Surrey, British Columbia – Architects: Kasian and Moriyama & Teshima Architects – Precast Supplier: Armtec
Simons Retail Stores in Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver – Architect: LEMAYMICHAUD Architecture Design – Precast Suppliers: BPDL (Montréal), RES Precast (Toronto) and Armtec (Vancouver)
